Ten of Kolkata's best pandals in one day, from this year's trending themes to the old-school idols of the north.

Reach Natural Ice Cream, Lake Town by 2:00 PMEach student shares location from their own phone while the tracking page is open. The faint circle around a pin shows how precise that phone's GPS is. A student is marked away when they're more than 250 m from the group. Amber means the phone is locked or hasn't updated for 10 minutes; the pin stays at their last known spot. Students also share WhatsApp Live Location in the parents' group as a backup that keeps working when the phone is locked.
(do this after the trip)
We start with Sreebhumi right next to our Lake Town pickup, take in Tala Prattoy and the north Kolkata classics, then sweep south so we never double back. Our AC tempo traveller does the long hops. Near the pandals vehicles aren't allowed, so we park and walk.
Times are targets. Teachers may skip a pandal if queues are too long. Safety comes before the checklist.
Save the driver's number in case you need to reach the vehicle directly.
Tick them off while packing on Saturday night. Your ticks stay on this device.
Dear Parents,
Please go through these rules with your child before the trip and make sure they understand and follow them. 🙏
🚐 Travel. We have booked a fully AC Tempo Traveller with comfortable seats, so it will be a relaxed and comfortable trip for everyone.
The phone is very important on this trip. It lets students stay in touch with their parents, and lets parents track our location.
Even though we have passes, it will be very crowded. Students must stay with the group at all times.
Some of our naughty friends know I'm talking to them 😄 So:
The area is very big and it is very easy to get lost. If that happens, nobody will be happy, including you.
If you get separated: stay exactly where you are and call a teacher immediately. Do not wander around looking for us.
We will enjoy some junk food (of course! 😋), but also healthy food and proper drinks. We will make sure no one is left out.
In many areas vehicles are not allowed near the pandals. We will park the Traveller and walk the rest of the way. While walking:
We will do a lot of masti, I promise! I know you're young and full of energy. But we must follow our rules and our country's laws, and we must never disturb other people around us or in the queue.
Respecting others is a symbol of humanity. Disturbing people is not entertainment. We can have all the fun we want without troubling anyone. 🙌
Let's make this a safe, happy and memorable Puja for everyone! 🌸
Phone numbers and home addresses are visible to the organiser only.
This replaces the current student list. Tracking links already sent will stop working.
